Savills Ha Noi New Office Goes Hybrid and Sustainable

In October 2022, Savills Ha Noi stepped into the future of work. The team moved into a new hybrid office in Ba Dinh District. There is a focus on flexibility, collaboration, and sustainability, which boosts employee engagement and can be used as a tool to show clients the power of hybrid working.

At Savills, we believe in practising what we preach. Following the success of the HCMC hybrid office, the Ha Noi team will step into the future of work at Lotte Center.

The team collaborated with internal experts and design consultants to create a modern, dynamic, and flexible office that prioritises collaboration and experience. There are more meeting rooms, focus booths, and a stylish lounge. A key feature within the hybrid office is the “hot desk” system, which facilitates flexibility. The “office of the future” is committed to meeting sustainability goals like reducing its carbon footprint and improving health, which is reflect ed in its LEED and WELL certifications. The architectural concept is inspired by nature. To create a feeling of safety in the office, the architect has recreated a "forest canopy" using sustainable materials, so people feel like they are walking under the trees of a forest.

Mr Matthew Powell, Director, Savills Ha Noi shared: “Hybrid working has proven to be more effective. The world of work has evolved, and offices must reflect these changes. Offices are no longer a “factory” where work is done, but rather it is a place where work is multifaceted. Although flexibility and remote work is key to the future, having a physical office is still essential. It provides a place where we can collaborate, learn, and share knowledge.”

Ms Hoang Nguyet Minh, Senior Director, Commercial Leasing, Savills Ha Noi said: “Employees are driving office design. Before designing our new offices, we evaluated the needs of each department. For example, the Residential Sales or Commercial Leasing teams will be out of the office for most of the day but will need areas that facilitate concentration when they are back in the office. Conversely, Research will spend 80% of their time in the office. By understanding the real needs, we could design a suitable desk ratio. With more flexible seating, we have added more meeting rooms. The collaborative areas like the café will boost efficiency because they are multifunctional, allowing people to meet, socialise, and collaborate.”
