Savills Taiwan Obtained the LEED Gold Certification Video(YouTube)

Savills Taiwan is celebrating their 15th anniversary with operation since 2007. As a top global real estate consulting company, Savills has been giving out advice about commercial real estate for a long period of time and has been actively responding to sustainability issues. This year August, the newly renovated office in Taipei will obtain the label of "LEED V4 ID+C Gold Certification" by the US Green Building Council. This also show our commitment to Sustainable Development.

This April, Taiwan government have announced the Taiwan’s 2050 net-zero emissions pathway. The Managing Director of Savills Taiwan, Ricky Huang, indicates that the goal of Savills UK is to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. In looking for the location for Savills Taipei office in Taiwan, Savills choose Cathay Landmark, a Grade A office building located in Xinyi Planning District that have obtained both Taiwan EEWH Gold certification and LEED Gold certification.

During the renovation and upgrading of the internal office space, Savills Taiwan used eco- friendly materials to reduce the pollution and carbon footprint caused. Moreover, Savills Taiwan installed an intelligent monitoring system for indoor temperature and electricity. This is to aim for a healthier and comfortable working environment and to achieve net zero carbon emissions together as a team.

Ricky pointed out that more companies are joining the ESG sustainability initiatives. Taiwan is an export-oriented economy and is highly connected to international trends. Business operations will face a stricter national policy for sustainability goals.
