In her new role, Ms Tan will be a part of the senior leadership team and will report to Marcus Loo, Chief Executive Officer, Savills Singapore, who said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Sally Tan. Ms Tan is a dynamic captain of this industry and her breadth of experience dealing with property owners and end users across multiple asset classes will certainly add depth to our service offering. Her strong commercial background both in the industrial and the office sectors will add significant value to our clients as they continue to demand end-to-end delivery of best-in-class services. She will primarily be involved in building a strong industrial platform and in parallel providing strategic oversight to our existing Commercial Leasing team headed by Ashley Swan who will continue to lead the team.”
Ms Tan has more than 25 years of experience in real estate investment and built environment development in Singapore and regional markets. Her expertise is in business strategy, building operations, marketing and leasing across the Commercial, Business Park, Industrial and Logistics sectors. She has deep knowledge of the evolving occupational needs of multinational corporations (technology, legal, financial, banking, telecommunication and media), SMEs (industrial and supply chain), New Economy industries (biomedical and data centres) and F&B operators.
Prior to this appointment, Ms Tan was Senior Vice President, Head of Workspace Management at CapitaLand overseeing more than 120 developments in various asset classes. In this role, she successfully strengthened the customer acquisition, growth and retention capabilities by setting up the community engagement and experience teams for place-making and customer stickiness in the interest of asset owners. She was also the driving force for operational management in sustainability, engineering, contracts & procurement and facilities management of the portfolio under two of the largest REITs in Singapore.
Ms Tan was previously Deputy Chief Customer Solutions Officer at Ascendas-Singbridge overseeing strategy, planning and execution for large-scale urban solutions projects regionally in China, India, Korea and Vietnam. She also held various positions at Keppel Land, where she was Head of Singapore Commercial and International Residential Marketing, overseeing the design development, marketing, sales and lease management of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. In a developmental role at the government statutory board, Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), she was in the pioneer team that led the development and marketing of Biopolis and the One-North R&D campus.
Iconic projects that Ms Tan was involved in since inception includes Rochester Commons, 79 Robinson Road, Marina Bay Financial Center and Ocean Financial Center. She also was part of the planning, design development and marketing of significant national developmental projects like Tianjin Eco-city and Guangzhou Knowledge City.
