Savills has represented the landlords in the letting of two refurbished, grade A office buildings in Milan to international businesses.  Both firms have agreed a six-year lease with the option to extend by a further six years.

Citrix Systems Italy has taken up 700 sq m of office space at Largo Augusto 8 in central Milan from landlord Fondo Haydn, managed by Generali Immobiliare Italia SGR.  The mobile working solutions firm will move into their new offices later this year.

In addition, accommodation reservation service Booking.com has taken 600 sq m at Via Fabio Filzi 25, in an important office district.  The landlord is Alleanza Toro.

Eros Chiodoni, head of office agency at Savills Italy, says: “These lettings are evidence of the demand from international firms for prime office space in central Milan.  In the second quarter office take-up in Milan reached approximately 48,700 sq m.  Furthermore, prime office rental levels in Milan decreased slightly in Q2 2013, currently standing at €490 per sq m per year, as landlords become increasingly willing to offer flexibility in the rent to attract and retain tenants.”
